NIGERIAN CONTENT POLICY

Hullmas Oil Limited is committed to the promotion of technology developmet in Nigeria as a way of boosting local content in the provision of industrial services within and outside the Oil & Gas Industry.


As a registered Nigeria company that strives to maintain 100% Nigerian manpower. It is Hullmas Oil Limited policy to train its Nigerian workforce in the application of every new technology it may adopt in its operations from time to time.


Hullmas Oil Limited will at all times strive to maximize the level of Nigerian content in its business operations. For this reason, Hullmas oil Limited will continue to enforce a strategy of employing local labor and emerging contractors whenever possible, also adopt a policy of training its Nigerian workforce for every new ventures in which its capacity is limited. In this way, Hullmas oil Limited hopes to improve her technological standing in the services it provides and at all time, developing personnel who will affect the environment positively.

SAFETY POLICY

Hullmas Oil Limited safety policy is that the health & welfare of its people are the most important consideration in any undertaking. Additionally, the protection of the company assets & the environment are also primary concerns. No job is so important that we cannot take the time to do it properly and therefore complete it safely. This philosophy enables Hullmas Oil Limited to deliver the Highest quality services to its customers and the best performance for its shareholders.

SECURITY POLICY

Our company’s policy on security is that, Lives and properties would be protected at all times. We shall also embark on the assessment of security issues and their implications. We would also ensure that all our personnel are security conscious.

Would ensure that:

  • Personnel protect her assets and properties as well as that of their clients.
  • Continuous education on security issues would be given to the workers on a regular basis.
  • Personnel would be properly scrutinized before engagement.
  • Any case of stealing reported would be thoroughly investigated and appropriate actions shall be implemented where necessary and applicable.
  • Effective access control of visitors to offices and work site is maintained.
  • Provision of ID cards for all personnel is mandatory.
  • Effective management of workers movement within the work area and any other area related to the work site and offices.

SMOKING POLICY

Hullmas Oil Limited‘s objective is to provide a tobacco smoke-free workplace for all personnel. Accordingly all Hullmas work site are designated smoke-free other than in specific outdoor smoking areas. In order to maintain a tobacco smoke-free atmosphere on Hullmas worksite, smoking is prohibited in all interior working and living space.


No smoking is allowed in exterior spaces during operations where there is a hazard of fire or explosion such as:

  • Receiving or transferring fuel, Oil or other volatile liquids
  • Handling any type of flammable material
  • During emergency drills / exercises
  • When moored or mooring alongside dock or piers, where smoking is prohibited
  • While in the immediate vicinity of rigs or platforms.
  • In obvious fire or hazardous operations.

DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY

The management of Hullmas Oil Limited recognizes the negative effect which Drugs & Alcohol could cause an employee during working hours. Past experience have shown that most accidents occurred because the victims were under the influence of drugs or alcohol.


The Policy states:

  • All operational tasks must be carried out in a manner that is devoid of drugs and alcohol influences
  • Also, in such a way that does not create unsafe condition or endanger the life of others who may be directly or indirectly involved in the works.

Consequently, any employee discovered in possession of a prohibited or banned substance shall be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agency and subsequently have his appointment terminated.

PPE POLICY

The Management of Hullmas Oil Limited shall ensure the provision of appropriate PPE:

  • All workers must put on their PPE while on site.
  • No PPE, No work
  • PPE that are not in good condition must be reported and replaced
  • Periodic inspection of PPE is done by leadership and through Audit for safety purposes.

STOP WORK OBLIGATION

Stop Work Obligation(SWO) is the right and duty of each employee to stop a job that is unsafe or that is felt to be unsafe, every employee is empowered and encouraged to use SWO when they feel a job activity a cannot be completed safely. If any employee is in doubt whether any health, Safety or Environmental aspect of any operation is proceeding properly at any time or at anyplace , it is their duty to stop the operation immediately until the condition can be improved or the doubt is resolved

Stopping unsafe work prevents people from being injured and helps avoid accidents. Those employees using SWO in good faith will be fully supported by all levels of Hullmas Management.
